Christian Guzman, Pastor of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario (Calvary Baptist Church) in Gray, Tennessee is in Charlotte this week to tape a new class for Seminario Bautista Panamericano. The class is a study of Romans, taught verse by verse, and it will be used in Module 8 of the three year course of study.
Taping a class represents both a beginning, and an end. For Pastor Guzman, it represents the culmination of months of dedicated, thorough study of the book and hours in the preparation of teaching materials. In addition to his lectures, he is writing a book which the students will read throughout the course. They will also read the book of Romans once a week for the 15 week module period and memorize key verses from the book each week.
As Pastor Guzman finishes his work on the class, other members of the SBP team are just beginning their part of the project. After the video is recorded it will pass through a lengthy post-production process. Verses, definitions and other text will be added to help the students as they watch the lectures. Additional graphics and audio will round out the presentation, creating a professional-quality video that presents all of the material in the best possible way.
Meanwhile, projects, quizzes and tests will be created from the material. A study guide will be developed which provides step by step directions and guidance for the pastors who direct Study Centers.
Please pray for Pastor Guzman and all who are involved in the process this week, then continue to pray for us as we prepare the materials for delivery to Study Centers in the US and five other Spanish-speaking countries.
